|Resurrection of Family Bonds 1 © |

(S.F.X.) Heartbeat. (B & W) Close up of a crescent moon, eerie clouds looming around it.

TONYA:

(V.O.) When I dream now I stare into the cold dark eyes of the man who murdered my parents. I try to run but I'm helpless to stop him.

DREAM IMAGES: Tonya stands on a balcony over looking the rage of the sea, she's wearing a long dark robe. A shadow of a man with a knife comes up behind her, as the knife comes down towards her the heartbeat stops. Dramatic silence gives way to a spooky old fashioned soap opera type music in the back ground as she tries to run from the mans shadow. She falls into the shadows, as evil laughter echoes and the waves crash one rocks.

TITLE OVER THE WAVES: Rumble High. The title drains into the waves as black and white slowly bleeds into dim color.

SHOW TITLE SCROLL: Resurrection of Family Bonds - Part One (X-Files style)

TONYA:

(V.O.) My name is Tonya Nimon. Night grows ever shorter as I lay here asleep, dreaming the same nightmare night after night since it happened. There are no limits to what some people will do, they sink to the lowest depths of evil. Unthinkable acts to most human beings are indulged in by some. They leave behind only death and the shattered lives of the survivors, if you could call this survival.

Acoustic guitar and piano musical remix of 'November Rain by Guns & Roses.' (Something like that) That plays in the back ground to the following funeral images. Cut to, a funeral where two coffins lay in place with the mourners gathered around most listening to the impressive looking clergyman who gestures in a very holy way towards the coffins. It starts to rain as he then goes down the line of mourners, shakes a few hands and leaves. All of the mourners walk away but Tonya as the coffins are lowered in the ground, she stands between the graves of her parents, then she falls to her knees and grabs a hand full of dirt from both as the grave diggers toss dirt in. She closes her eyes as her head faces the sky, the rain hits her like a flood of tears but you can't tell if she's crying or not. Marilyn's P.O.V. her aunt looks back at her from what's left of the mourners as lightning flashes above Tonya, a raven lands on the gate taking the focus away from Tonya. Total darkness falls over the scene then lightning strikes cutting into the pitch.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Into the Hornets' Nest

Tonya wakes up with a heavy gasp. It's morning, the girl in the bunk above her looks down at her and it's obvious these two don't like each other. A smirk comes from both girls and Tonya clears her throat roughly.

LAURA:

Hey? (Irritated) I'm trying to sleep, what's your problem anyway?

TONYA:

For one thing, having to wake up to your ugly mug hanging down barking at me for the last few weeks. (Gets up) Except for having the same uniforms, this is worse than my old school. (Sighs) You snore like a rusty old buzz saw.

LAURA:

You better watch your mouth bitch or I'll cut you!

TONYA:

Keep talking and I'll show you just what a real bitch I can be.

LAURA:

Oh yeah? (Gets to her feet) Then why don't you show me?

TONYA:

Ew! (Sniffs) Why don't you go wash these sheets you've been sleeping on, Laura?

LAURA:

Don't tempt me! (Makes a fist) You don't know who you're dealing with!

TONYA:

No, you don't know who you're dealing with. (Enraged) And I'm getting sick of you on my back all the time.

LAURA:

Then why don't you do something about it, rich girl? (Smirks) I know all about why you're here.

TONYA:

Look you skank I've had enough of your mouth! I'm only going to warn you one last time, leave me alone!

Laura pulls a knife and lunges towards Tonya, who ends up helping her past herself to the floor.

LAURA:

You can't screw with me like that! (Tonya kicks the knife from her hand) Girl your ass is mine!

TONYA:

Sorry you're not my type. (Blocks Laura's punch) Are you done? (Yawns) Because you are really starting to bore me. (Catches Laura's leg as she tries to kick her) Is that all you got, Laura?

Laura doesn't move but Tonya goes over to the window where a piece of board holds the window open. She pulls it out and the window slams shut, then she places the board between the backs of two chairs. As Laura watches she impacts the board with the side of her hand, the board fall into pieces on the floor and with that Tonya walks to the bathroom.

LAURA:

Damn!

FULL FRAME TITLE: Which one is not the same as the others?

A lunch room all the girls are dressed in the same uniform, as they eat at the long tables. Tonya walks in with her uniform but her skirt is much shorter, also she has on fishnets and black boots instead of standard shoes worn by the others. She gets a tray looks at the food and makes a face at the ugly lunch lady in a hair net.

TONYA:

What's the green slop in that first pan. (Sarcasm) It looks like it might have been real food once.

LUNCH LADY:

Meat in green sauce.

TONYA:

Eh, never mind. (Sighs) I'll order out, again.

LUNCH LADY:

But this is prime cut.

TONYA:

Which part? (Smirks) The paws?

Tonya sits eating on a park table outside in the recreational area of the school. Crane up, above her 2 women look at her from a second story window. Cut to, inside where the two women talk about Tonya.

MARILYN:

I haven't seen her since the funeral, she didn't cry or show any emotion at all.

WOMAN:

She's shows classic abandonment and anger issues. (Walks to her desk) She is defiant, stubborn and at times sullen. (Sits down) A girl named Laura started a fight with Tonya this morning, all I know is the fight ended.

MARILYN:

How did the fight end? (The woman shrugs) You don't know?

WOMAN:

No. (Sighs) It's not my business to pry too deeply into your personal life, Dr Nimon but are you sure you want to take care of her? (Sighs) You already have a daughter the same age as Tonya, are you sure you want twice the work?

MARILYN:

I feel that they might help each other out with their problems, my daughter lost her father when she was little. (Turns to the woman) It's not quite the same but...

WOMAN:

I see. (Looks at her computer) Tonya needs family ties to cope with her loss. (Sighs) She's in a deep state of denial and she is very defensive about her true feelings. (Taps her fingers on the desk) Therapy will help but lots of patience and love are the only thing that's really going to help her. (Clears her throat) I warn you, she's going to be a handful.

MARILYN:

It seems to me that the sooner she's with family the better.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Walking on Broken Eggshells.

Marilyn walks into the dorm room where Tonya is sitting by the window.

TONYA:

If you're a reporter, I'm not talking. (Turns to face Marilyn) Aunt Marilyn?

MARILYN:

I'm here to take you home with me.

TONYA:

You don't even know me. (Scoffs) I saw you at the funeral but before that was about how many years ago?

MARILYN:

Tonya please, if you'd just...

TONYA:

I heard you two yelling and all I heard was that my mother did something to you. (Crosses her arms) Something you couldn't forgive her for and what was it she did to you that was so bad you two couldn't make up?

MARILYN:

None of that matters anymore. (Sadly) Vent your anger at me if you want but you have two choices. (Sighs) You can either come live with me and your cousin Allison or you can stay here.

TONYA:

Well I'm not staying here! (Huffs) So out of the frying pan and into the fire.

MARILYN:

We'll be moving into Allison's grandfather's house this week.

TONYA:

So I'm the fourth wheel, huh? (Dryly) I don't have much here, most of my things are in storage from when my parents house was sold. (Suddenly suspicious) You wouldn't be after my money would you?

MARILYN:

No Tonya the money is yours, all I am the executrix of the will. (Scoffs) I am a doctor, I don't need to take money from a teenager.

TONYA:

Fine, then I guess I'll come live with you but don't expect me to be too thrilled about it. (Stands up) Let me gather my stuff and I'll be right out. (Sighs) Damn it!

FULL FRAME TITLE: Frayed ends

Marilyn comes into the house, her father in law and Allison are sitting in the living room.

MARILYN:

She's here.

Tonya comes in wearily she sits her duffel bag on a chair.

ALLISON:

Is that all you have, what's in that little bag?

TONYA:

That's all I had at the domicile of the damned, the rest of my things are in storage.

MARILYN:

We'll have to put most of it in the garage apartment, the downstairs I was thinking of making into my office. (To Allison) You're going to share your room with Tonya.

TONYA:

I have to share a room with her?

MARILYN:

There are only three bedrooms in this house, sorry.

TONYA:

What about the things I need, like my guitar? (Sighs) Look I've always had my own room.

ALLISON:

Me too. (Pauses) Now I have to sleep right next to someone I don't know?

TONYA:

I'm the one who has to sleep in a pink bedroom little Miss Mary Sunshine.

GRAMPA:

I'm too old to put up with two teenage girls, their stubborn bickering and loud music.

MARILYN:

Yes I see your point. (Frustrated) Girls I'll take the room in this house for my office, you two take the garage apartment. (Sighs) But now, I'm going to order some take out.

TONYA:

Great I'll have room for not only my guitar but my motorcycle too.

MARILYN:

What?! (Worried) You have a motorcycle?

TONYA:

Yeah, a sweet custom job I did myself. (Marilyn's jaw drops) Eh, don't worry it's street legal.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Detachment

Allison finds Tonya standing with her arms out in an almost circle, she slowly moves to her knees.

ALLISON:

What are you doing?

TONYA:

Yoga. (Pauses) It helps me with Martial arts and other types of hand to hand combat I know.

ALLISON:

You do? (Vaguely worried) You mean like a Ninja or something?

TONYA:

I guess you could say something like that. (Rolls landing on her feet) You don't have anything to worry about.

Tonya snickers as she exits and Allison looks a bit scared. Cut to; Tonya in the garage with the door open waxing her motorcycle when Eric walks by. He stops, turns and dramatically lowers his sunglasses to eyeball her.

ERIC:

Uh, huh!

Tonya doesn't notice Eric as he continues to watch her, then the garage door shuts. He walks to the Bradford's house and goes to the back yard. Dominic and his sister Jasmyn standing off, they have obviously been bickering about something.

DOMINIC:

Hey Eric, you showed up at a good time. (Scoffs) My sister is on my case again.

JASMYN:

You are such a tool, Dominic! (Exits)

ERIC:

What's her problem, man?

DOMINIC:

What isn't? (Pauses) Never mind her, we should go look for some babes.

ERIC:

I saw a babe. (Smiles) Between 14 and 16 with long brown hair, taunt shapely legs, nice rack, firm ass and...

DOMINIC:

Eric?! (Excited) Where is she?!

ERIC:

Next door in old man Nimon's garage.

Dominic runs out the fence with Eric following behind him, when they get to the Nimon's driveway nobody is there.

DOMINIC:

I know this is hard for you but think for a moment. (Pauses) Was she real or just inside your head?

ERIC:

Um? (Confused) I'm not sure but if she was in my dreams, I want to go back to sleep.

DOMINIC:

Eric, I've warned you about picking wild 'shrooms. (Scoffs) Pick the wrong one and it could be poisonous.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Field of nightmares

{BLACK AND WHITE DREAM - FLASH BACK}Silence as a cemetery fades in, the funeral scene of mourns become clear and the preacher gives his service. Silence gives slowly to the slight sound of clock sounds. Tonya with two white lilies in hand, looks over at her aunt Marilyn. Flashes of scenes from the funeral: The lilies as they land in each grave like a stone. The preacher, then the mourns in a surreal wave of frames. Tonya as she steps in between her parents two coffins being lowered into the ground the wind blows her hair back, then she falls to her knees. The scene fades out. Flash of lightning, then a coffin in a dark room opens by it's self. From inside black ravens fly out all at once. Tonya runs over to the coffin and looks inside, she's also inside dead then her dead eyes open. (COLOR) Tonya wakes gasping, she's laying on the floor next to Allison.

ALLISON:

Mmm? (Wakes up) Are you ok?

TONYA:

It's nothing. (Sighs) Just a bad dream, that's all.

ALLISON:

Do you want to talk about it?

TONYA:

It was dream, it's not real. (Rolls over) Forget about and go back to sleep.

ALLISON:

Suit yourself.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Just say no to crack

A fat repair man in the kitchen bends over thus showing his butt crack, Allison looks away.

TONYA:

Ah, yes. (Scoffs) One of the big mysteries of life. (Sotto to Allison) Why is it handy men pants always fall when they wear such big belts?

Allison holds back a laugh as she shuts her eyes, this looks very amusing to Tonya who smirks. Cut to; Charlie and Anton come out of their gate. They notice a pile of empty boxes and trash bags on the driveway.

ANTON:

Hey it looks like someone is moving into old man Nimon's garage apartment?

CHARLIE:

I still remember that really strange couple who lived there last.

ANTON:

All he talked in detail about was his job as a sewage worker and the less said about her the better.

CHARLIE:

Oh yeah. (Scoffs) That old lady flashed you. (Anton shudders) I just hope whoever it is keeps to themselves.

Marilyn walks out to throw another box out on the driveway, both Charlie and Anton watch as she walks back.

ANTON:

She's still too old for us but at least she looks good, I wouldn't mind if she flashed me.

CHARLIE:

I agree but she looks too smart to do anything like that. (Ponders) I bet she's here to take care of old man Nimon, he's getting too old to take care of himself.

ANTON:

I feel sorry for her if that's true, he's an old crank.

CHARLIE:

Uh, huh. (Pauses) Hey, let's go to the mall and check out that new coffee shop. (Snickers) I heard people go to read poetry there, which means there will be chicks there and maybe I'll get one.

ANTON:

Are you kidding? (Scoffs) You always find something wrong with any pretty girls around you, I got news for you uncle Charlie... (Sighs) No girl is going to be perfect, just go with what you can get.

CHARLIE:

What I can get is Jana Ault but I don't want that freak show. (Shudders) I want someone with brains, beauty, built but not shallow or self-centered. (Sighs) She doesn't have to be perfect, just not anything like Jana who isn't even close.

ANTON:

That girl is psycho, she tried to talk me into letting her come along to the sci-fi convention we when to. (Smirks) But there where girls there who wanted to talk to you and one was okay looking.

CHARLIE:

First of all you wanted to go to that geek-fest, I didn't. (Shrugs) And I don't know which one of the three girls you're talking about that asked me out but... (Stops himself) None of them were okay looking.

ANTON:

I'm talking about Trudi, she wasn't a babe but she was kind of cute.

CHARLIE:

Cute? (Scoffs) She was plain, dull and flat.

ANTON:

Well what about the other two?

CHARLIE:

Yolanda was too fat and I wasn't too sure that Brenda wasn't once known as Brandon, she was so butch.

ANTON:

See you find the flaws in every female you come across.

CHARLIE:

Oh please, one or two I could forgive but so far there have been far too many flaws to count.

ANTON:

Maybe you're just too picky, you ever think about that?

CHARLIE:

Nah, just devoted to find the right girl for me. (Proudly) Like I've always said, I'll know when our eyes meet and there's that moment that tells me she's the one.

Anton throws his hands up and he leaves with Charlie. Allison and Tonya from the fence gate with boxes to add to the pile.

TONYA:

So anyway, that's what I had to endure at my time in that hell hole.

ALLISON:

Wow.

TONYA:

Hey at the mall there's this coffee shop I saw on the way up here I want to check out, do you want to come? (Allison shrugs) I love poetry and there's going to be a reading there. (Smirks) You'll get to ride on my motorcycle.

ALLISON:

That death on two wheels? (Pauses) No thanks, I'll stay home.

TONYA:

Suit yourself but you're going to miss out on all the fun.

Allison exits as Tonya opens the garage door thus revealing her motorcycle for the first time. It's made up of parts from many different parts of other motorcycles but it looks pretty cool anyway. She shoves her long hair into a helmet, adds her black leather jacket and a pair of over sized jeans over her cut off shorts. When she done you can't really tell what sex she is but when she gets on the motorcycle it's even harder to tell. She guns it and takes off, the garage door shuts behind her.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Coffee, tea or me?

Charlie and Anton meet up with Dominic who is with Eric, the coffee shop is full of people. They decide to hang out in front of the shop next to it, the watch the girls walk by. They all seem rather disappointed by the type of females going by them.

DOMINIC:

These girls are all... (Clears his throat as a group of plain girls walk by) Well just look for yourselves.

ANTON:

Do I have to? (A really ugly girl walks by) Eh, someone call the pound.

Tonya zooms by on her motorcycle, they notice this person and wonder.

ERIC:

Hey, is that a guy or a chick?

DOMINIC:

Does it mater? (Scoffs) If it's a guy I don't care and if it's a girl, there's got to be something wrong with her.

CHARLIE:

What makes you say that, Dominic?

DOMINIC:

Because if that is a girl... (A fat ugly girl waddles by) She's here isn't she?

Tonya parks her motorcycle and gets off it, she pushes her way inside the coffee shop.

ERIC:

Dominic's right. (Scoffs) Hey lets go in maybe all the good looking chicks are inside.

ANTON:

Well we all know they aren't out here.

Inside the coffee shop; Tonya goes to the bathroom, she takes off her helmet, her leather jacket and her over sized jeans. She takes a folded up bag from her jacket and puts her things inside it. She walks to a table for two and sits by herself while a plain girl is on stage reading the end of "Edgar Allen Poe's, The Raven." Charlie, Anton, Dominic and Eric are hanging out in the back of the place they haven't seen her but they are looking around. The girl on stage reads the last part of the poem and steps off stage, a fragile thin man steps forwards.

MAN:

Thank you Katherine Hansen, is there anyone else who wishes to read a poem?

Tonya stands up, she makes her way to the stage and sits her bag down. Dominic and Eric can't believe their eyes. She flips her long brown hair back as she looks over the crowd for a moment.

RANDOM GUY:

Whoo! (Yells at Tonya) Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!

ERIC:

Well what do we have here? (Lowers his sunglasses) Babe alert!

DOMINIC:

Check her out! (Nudges Charlie to look at Tonya) Look at that! See that?

ANTON:

What do you thinks he's blind? (Points towards Tonya) How is he not going to something that looks like that?

Charlie looks at Tonya for the first time his eyes bug out, his jaw drops and he's totally agog by her.

CHARLIE:

Uuuh! (Awestruck) She's a goddess.

TONYA:

I wrote this myself, it's called "My Sorrow." - In a moment of tragic loss - What was is forever shattered - This existence is frayed apart - In the rage of thunder claps - Evil eyes in the shadows - From a face in nightmares - Your life is my hell - Your demise will be my justice - Everything else is remains a void. (Claps from people) Thank you.

MAN:

Thank you, young lady. (Tonya walks off the stage) Wait please, what's your name?

As Tonya walks away as people clap but Anton, Dominic and Eric are really loud over her. Charlie's still so awed he can't.

ANTON:

Her poem was short but so deep.

DOMINIC:

I'm curious to find out why a chick that hot would write something so dark.

ERIC:

Who cares, she's can cry on my shoulder anytime. (Snickers) I'll make her feel all better. (Pauses) Hey wait a minute, I think I've seen that chick somewhere before but where?

DOMINIC:

Only in your dreams, Eric. (Notices the strange look on Charlie's face) Yo Charlie, what's wrong with you man?

CHARLIE:

Huh? (Shakes himself out of it) Hey where did she go? (Looking around) Don't tell me she's gone?!

ERIC:

Okay, we won't tell you. (Snickers) Why, do you want to go find her dude?

ANTON:

Probably not. (Smirks) After all there has to be something wrong with her, right Charlie?

CHARLIE:

Yes, there is. (Crassly) She's not waking up on top of me in the morning. (Smiles) I'll go see if I can find her.

Anton, Dominic and Eric are in shock as they watch Charlie walk off. Tonya walks right by him but she has her helmet on and everything else on too, so he can't tell it's her. He drags himself back to his friends as people leave the coffee shop.

ERIC:

No luck, huh? (Charlie huffs) I won't lose any sleep over her, I bet she's got a boyfriend or a girlfriend or both.

Dominic looks at Charlie as if Eric's statement was the most obvious thing in the world. It's also obvious that thought never occurred to Charlie but he ponders the truth of Eric's statement and obviously he can't deny it makes sense.

CHARLIE:

You could be right but in case you're not. (Clears his throat) I know three things about her. One, she's a killer babe. Two, she's a dark poet. (Sighs) And three, she has to live somewhere in the area or she wouldn't have bothered coming to this small coffee house in this town. (Smiles) That means I stand a good chance of finding her and get to know her.

Anton, Dominic and Eric laugh as they walk out of the coffee house. Charlie looks up at the stage and for a moment sees Tonya standing there but she fades away into thin air.

FULL FRAME TITLE: Heavy Metal Thunder.

(S.F.X.) The sounds of song birds and other nature sounds. (B & W) Charlie stands on an old tire swing that hangs from a huge tree limb. Then suddenly Tonya is standing before him, they reach for each other and he pulls her onto the other side of the tire swing. A small romantic moment as they swing together, their hair blowing in a breeze. (Color) Charlie is sleeping with a huge grin on his face, he mumbles something. Tonya's in the garage, she picks up her guitar and then plugs it into her huge amp stack. The sound of random Heavy Metal rifts rings out, the sound is muffled but is loud enough to wake Charlie up out of his dream. Enraged he shoves a pillow into his own face, then just gets up and Anton walks into his room. The guitar breaks into a heavy metal/punk version of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir or something like that.

ANTON:

It's too early in the morning for this!

CHARLIE:

You think? (Growls) I'm pissed, it woke me out a the most wonderful dream I ever had in my life.

ANTON:

You had a lust dream about that long haired chick at the coffee house didn't you? (Charlie blushes) Yep.

CHARLIE:

Well yeah but that's not the point. (Stands up) The point is being woke up but this Retro-Rocker next door.

ANTON:

That lady we saw over at the Nimon house must have a husband or a son. (Shrugs) What can we do about it?

CHARLIE:

Oh I tell you what I'm gonna do. (Starts dressing) I'm gonna get dressed and go over there, then I'm gonna knock that dude out cold. (Huffs) That's what I'm gonna do.

ANTON:

What if he's bigger than you?

CHARLIE:

I don't care if he is. (Growls) I'm still going over there and sucker punch him first, before he can react.

Charlie goes down stairs and out the door. He walks to the Nimon's metal garage door, his knocks clang out and the music stops. The Nimon garage door starts to open as he makes a fist and gets ready to sucker punch the person on the other side. The door opens all the way revealing Tonya to him, her hair is up in a ponytail and her guitar hangs like a soldiers weapon from the strap on her shoulder. His arm falls like a wet noodle, his eyes grow large and his jaw drops.

TONYA:

Hey what are you doing? (Charlie makes some odd perverted noises) Excuse me but if you're looking for your tongue, most of it is on the driveway.

CHARLIE:

Eeeeep! (Looks Tonya over in a daze) Whoa! (Shakes himself out of it) Um, you live here?

TONYA:

Uh, huh. (Sighs) Now tell me something, brown eyes. (Smirks) Who are you, why are you here and what do you want?

CHARLIE:

Charlie Woods, I live next door. (Points towards his place) I came over here to... (Pauses, then smiles) I'm here to welcome you to the neighborhood. (Sighs) And what I want is... (Stops himself with a blush) To say hello, neighbor.

TONYA:

Charlie, is it? (Charlie nods) This 'hood is pretty much a typical cookie cutter home, urban-suburban small town hell. (Smirks) It's not exactly my thing but neither was my old house, we had too many neighbors. (Takes off her guitar) Even though it was only a one street with houses in the city. (Breathes deeply) I could be someplace in no time flat, now I'm stuck in this little town. (Vehemently) I mean all you can do around here is to watch the grass grow and if I want to go to the city it's ten miles just to reach the outskirts. (Impatiently) That's going to put a dent in how I have fun, I just know it. Especially since I'm under the thumb of my aunt Marilyn and I bet she won't let me stay out late either. (Uncomfortably noticing him gawking at her lustfully) I'll just have to sneak out when I can.

Tonya turns and bends over to put her guitar on it's stand, as she does her cut off's ride up her legs. Charlie gets a nice view because a tiny bit of her derriere is exposed from the bottom edge of her cut off's.

CHARLIE:

Eeeeeeeeeeeep! (Blushes) Um, what a drag but there's a city bus stop is just down the street.

Tonya stands up and reaches for a sheet covering her motorcycle and pulls it off, Charlie gasps. Fantasy; For a moment he sees her as a Heavy Metal angle standing with one of her legs on her motorcycle holding her guitar and he snaps out of it.

TONYA:

That's good to know if my motorcycle breaks down on me.

CHARLIE:

Oh yeah. (Looking over the motorcycle) This is a custom job, where did you get it?

TONYA:

I didn't, I put this together from scraps parts I came across.(Smirks) Everything is custom built by me.

Charlie is astonished, then he recalls seeing the motorcycle outside the coffee house where he first saw Tonya. Then he looks over on a pile of boxes and there he sees a pair of helmets. He figures it all out as he sees the leather jacket too.

CHARLIE:

That's cool. (Sarcastically) What do you do when your bored, part the Red Sea?

Tonya snickers as she covers her motorcycle with the sheet once more, she sits on the old bench next to the wall.

TONYA:

Sorry but there are a few things I'm not incapable of. (Crosses her legs) But I do the best I can with what I have.

CHARLIE:

Mmm! (Leering) I can see that you do. (Snickers with delight) I bet you're magnificent at everything you do. (Something accrues to him) Wait, I gave you my name but I don't even know what your first name is yet.

TONYA:

First name, Tonya. (Charlie grins) Last name, Nimon.

CHARLIE:

Nimon? (Puzzled) Oh man, you're related to cranky old man Nimon? (Scoffs) I don't see it.

TONYA:

He's my cousin's grandfather, his brother was my grandfather. (Clears her throat) Their sons married two sisters, our mothers and they had us. (Pauses) So we're 2ed cousins from the Nimon family and 1st cousins from the Saxon family.

CHARLIE:

Okay. (Changes subject) Since we're neighbors we should get to know each other. (Suave) Much, much better.

With a cold stare Tonya glares at Charlie for a moment but then laughs it off.

TONYA:

Hold it right there hot shot, we're just getting acquainted so far. (Stands up) We might not even like each other.

CHARLIE:

What's not to like? (Leering) You're smart, creative and very beautiful. (Snickers) You're also good with your hands. (Blushes) I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor if I tried. (To himself) You'll end up my girlfriend if I'm extremely lucky.

Before Tonya can respond Allison walks in on her and Charlie. Allison hesitates unsure of Charlie, she looks briefly over at Tonya who smirks and Allison shrugs looking back him.

TONYA:

Oh, this is my cousin Allison Nimon. (To Allison) This is Charlie Woods, he lives next door.

ALLISON:

Hello. (To Tonya) Is everything okay?

TONYA:

Everything is just fine, Allison. (Scoffs) Why do you ask? (Allison shrugs) Well then go on. (Swats her hand at her) Shoo, shoo! (Allison crosses her arms in a huff as she exits) Nice kid but she's way too timid for her own good.

CHARLIE:

Your cousin is not much like you is she?

TONYA:

Not much. (Sighs) But with me around her she can only become a stronger female. (Changes subject) Damn, I could use some coffee about now. (Rummages through a box) That is if I can ever find what I need to make it.

CHARLIE:

Forget about it. (Motions towards his place) My parents aren't home right now, so you can come over and have all you want. (Tonya raises an eyebrow) Come on, we can talk more over breakfast.

TONYA:

Alright but if you better not expect me to cook for you because that's one thing I can't do.

CHARLIE:

You can't cook? (Embarrassed) Um, the thing is I can.

Tonya gives Charlie a curious look but she turns off the light and shuts the garage door as he watches her. They walk over to his yard and into his parents house. Cut to: Dominic and Eric walking down the sidewalk they stop when they notice Allison steps out from the fence gate with an empty box in tow.

DOMINIC:

Yeeee-Ooooow! (Perverted tone) Babe-zilla!

ERIC:

Ooo... Noo... There goes Tokyo!

The three of them exchange looks for a moment before Dominic runs over to her, he gives her his best flirtatious smile.

DOMINIC:

Hello there, my name is Dominic Bradford and I live next door. (Takes the box from Allison) I couldn't help but notice that you need help with this box. (Transfixed) If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to let me know.

ALLISON:

Um? (Blushes) You could help me unpack but what about him?

Allison points to Eric, Dominic walks over to Eric and tosses the box down.

DOMINIC:

Hey, get lost. (Snickers) Me and the blonde are going to get to know each other, you know what I mean?

ERIC:

If she doesn't end up liking you man, then pass her over this way.

DOMINIC:

Dude, if she doesn't go for me. (Scoffs) There is no way in hell you have a chance with her.

ERIC:

Whoa, that's cold. (Pauses) But good luck anyway.

Eric walks away as Dominic walks back to Allison.

DOMINIC:

I'm all yours, Blondie.

ALLISON:

Please call me Allison. (Blushes) My stuff is inside by the kitchen, follow me.

DOMINIC:

Oh yes ma'am. (Sighs) To the ends of the earth and back.

Allison turns and starts walking back inside the garage apartment with Dominic behind her. He watched her hips swivel slightly from side to side as she walked, a moment later they walk inside.

ALLISON:

By chance if you see a box marked Tonya, then just leave it where it is. (Smiles) That's my cousin's stuff.

DOMINIC:

Aw, there are two of you? (Picks up a small box) I see you have them marked by rooms, this should be easy.

ALLISON:

Only my stuff, my cousin only put her name on her boxes. (Sighs) Let's get to it.

Dominic gawks at Allison as she bends over to pick up a box but he stops her and holds her hands decorously.

DOMINIC:

They're so soft, it would be a shame for such delicate things to do such brutal work. (Allison blushes) Darling, why don't you just let me do all this work for you? (Allison shakes her head no) Oh come on now, I don't mind.

ALLISON:

I couldn't ask you to do all this work by yourself, that's not fair.

DOMINIC:

What wouldn't be fair would be to have a lady like you lifting up heavy boxes. (Smiles) Please let me do this for you while you rest, you look like you're about to pass out on me.

ALLISON:

Well I could use a shower but...

DOMINIC:

It's alright, sweetie. (Kisses her hand) You just go on and don't worry yourself over me.

Allison turns on her heal and walks up the steps. Dominic smirks as he grabs a box and heads up the steps too, he sits the box down. First he looks in Tonya's room where a bunch of boxes have her name on them, then he goes to the other room which the boxes are Allison's. He brings in the box, he opens it and is he's in shock. His face is bathed in a golden, throbbing light of a shrine and he reaches in the box. Then holding up her pink sexy lingerie and he is staring in utter awe, as if it were a holly relic of the goddess Aphrodite herself. Cut to; Tonya eating the last bite of the breakfast Charlie has made her.

TONYA:

Well since I'm full and awake I need to go back and unpack.

Tonya fingers a strand of her hair, Charlie is so totally smitten as his smile turns into a huge grin and seizes the opportunity.

CHARLIE:

So can I call you?

TONYA:

That depends. (Snidely) What do you want to call me?

CHARLIE:

Mine. (Blushes) I mean, my friend.

Tonya raises her eyebrow, he notices but holds out his hand anyway and they shake hands.

TONYA:

Your friend, huh? (Smirks) Well Chuckles, we'll see about that.

CHARLIE:

Chuckles? (Makes a face of displeasure but then laughs it off) Okay, sweetheart.

TONYA:

Besides I owe you something for cooking for me. (Charlie stands up) Thanks it was great.

CHARLIE:

Well? (Extending his arms out with a grin) How about a hug?

TONYA:

No, I'm not much of a hugger. (Stands up and extends her hand out) How about a hand shake instead?

CHARLIE:

Come on and hug me, what are you afraid of?

TONYA:

I'm not afraid. (Awkwardly hugs Charlie) Just don't let it go to your head. (Backs away) See you Chuckles.

Charlie grins as Tonya quickly exits. Dominic brings up a box and enters Allison's room once more, then he hears someone walking up the steps. He looks out the door he sees the back of Tonya walking towards the bathroom.

DOMINIC:

You must be Tonya. (Tonya turns quickly to face him) I live next door, my name is Dominic Bradford and I'm unpacking your cousin's things while she showers. (Looks closer at her) Have we met somewhere before?

TONYA:

I don't think so. (Raises an eyebrow sharply) But if you'll excuse me I need to unpack my things.

DOMINIC:

Now what kind of a gentleman would that make me if I let a lady like yourself do brut work?

Allison walks out of the bathroom in her robe as she wonders just what is going on with Tonya and Dominic.

TONYA:

Ha! (Steamed) Look pal, nobody lets me "DO" anything and by the looks of you I could out work you any day. (Scoffs) I'm not some frail little damsel in distress, so do not I need a knight in shining armor to come to my rescue.

ALLISON:

Tonya, he was just being nice. (Walks over to Dominic) You didn't have to jump on his back like that.

DOMINIC:

That's alright. (Smiles) She's unaware she's the victim of a conspiracy, known as the women's movement.

TONYA:

Excuse me?! (Huffs) You want to talk about victims of a conspiracy? (Smirks) Try the fact that women through out history have been the victims of the biggest conspiracy ever. (Points) Being forced to submit to men who were anything but gentlemen and in ways that are anything but fair to say the least. (Huffs) American women didn't even get the vote until the 1920's and in some places woman are still treated as property, if not worse. So how about that conspiracy, hot shot?

DOMINIC:

Um?! (Panicky) I didn't mean to upset you or make you mad, I'm just being...

TONYA:

A typical male? (Sighs) Apparently you don't realize that you have an antiquated notion about females. (Mater of fact) Some of us have hopes and dreams. (Points) The brainwashing system of conventional society spoon feeds little girls into a false belief of what their roll is as a female. (Scoffs) That all we're good for is to look pretty, stroke males egos, get married clean the house, cook and start pumping out babies! (Sighs) It's the same for you males, you know? (Dominic is stunned) They make toys that cause little boys to be war like and fill their heads with a equally false macho façade. (Only slightly sarcastic) Oh, it is so unmanly to cry. (Smirks) I can unpack my own things, if she needs your help she can have it.

DOMINIC:

Wow! (Places his hands over his face for a moment) Of course!

ALLISON:

Tonya? (Crosses her arms) Please be nice, he is our neighbor.

DOMINIC:

Wait Allison, she's right. (Tonya's in shock, both her eyebrows raised) It's true! (Blinks) The conspiracy of the women's movement is small potatoes next to the bigger conspiracy it's fighting. (Blinks) The system of conventional society.

TONYA:

Ahem, I'm amazed you would admit that. (Scoffs) After all you've been on the winning, although be it wrong side.

Tonya turns with a smirk and goes to her room, then she shuts the door.
