ILLUSIONS

Too close to the edge
growing weaker by the hour
time laughs in my face
as my life dissolves away

Standing like a flame
drowning in the rain
and to suffer the fate
of your endless destruction

In the velvet of the night
the darkness in my eyes
dreaming in the shadows
riding on the dark horse

Memories are illusions
life is just a fantasy
from the dust you come
to dust you will return

A sorcerer of the words
I write them on my page
can anyone here tell me
what the hell they mean

Too close to the edge
turning to see the ground
spitting along the grain
the sun burns away night

Stand like a flame
drowning in the rain
and suffer the fate
of your endless destruction

Deep in the wild fires
of the shattering fears
bells ring in my head
your confusion sets in

Memories are illusions
life is just a fantasy
from the dust you come
to dust you will return

Somewhere a solder dies
his mother cries in vain
stitch of death everywhere
goes up to Heavens gates
